University of Auckland Building Signage.
Corada has produced signage for UoA since 2002. Recently we produced high level signage for a new student accommodation building. Here’s a quick look at the process.
The site boarders the Auckland motorway in a high wind zone. Due to the critical nature, this building was modelled for wind pressure in a wind tunnel.
Our design solution is to mount the signage on a structural steel frame, and mount this to the building with a chemical anchoring system. The wind pressure is calculated against the strength of our design and a report is commissioned for building consent.
